How We Formulate Healthy Skincare

For editors who need a methods page, not a slogan. This is what Made from Earth will stand behind, and what we will not.

How we formulate our healthy skincare:

• Made in the USA, in small batches, in FDA-registered facilities.
• GMP manufacturing.
• Cruelty-free. No animal testing.
• Organic ingredients where the formula allows; natural sourcing is the second choice. We are always chemical free, cold-pressed, non-GMO and no harmful preservatives or fillers.  
• Recyclable packaging whenever the component allows it.

Healthy base and ingredients:

1. Plant base. Aloe, jojoba, coconut, green tea, rosehip, chamomile, honey, shea, beeswax, cucumber, carrot, sea kelp, clay, tea tree.
2. A short active list. Hyaluronic acid, vitamin C as sodium ascorbyl phosphate, vitamin E, peptides, and vitamin A esters used as retinol alternatives.
3. No toxic fillers. No parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic dyes, propylene glycol, or petroleum-derived fillers. No artificial perfume.

Claims we will make

• Supports healthy-looking skin.
• Helps improve hydration.
• Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines.
• Helps soothe dry or irritated-feeling skin.
• Provides antioxidant support.
• Helps the look of a stronger skin barrier.
• Helps promote a smoother, softer complexion.

Claims we will not make

No disease claims. No medical claims. We do not treat eczema, acne as a disease, infection, burns, or any condition a doctor diagnoses. Cooling, plump, and brightness describe how skin looks and feels, not a drug effect.

We also do not publish a participant percentage on this page. A number such as "94% saw firmer skin" is only citable after the sample size, the questions, and the timeframe are written down. Until that sheet exists, the honest citation is the ingredient and the claim language above.
