I have had rosacea for a number of years. I have not had much success with creams, antibiotics, or diet changes. I think mine is a combination of heredity, allergies, stress, past sun exposure, and environment. I am hoping to find the right combination some day, as I feel there is one to help each individual with their own unique skin! I am anxious to see if this is effective in my constant quest for clear skin!
I commented on your homepage with regard to rosehip oil and Hibiscus facial serum.
I have another question; I have rosacia in my bottom left eyelid. Can I use these products on the inner eyelid?? I am 68 years old.
Please enter me in the contest.
me and my mother have rosacea which is very irritating because i could not eat chocolates, eggs , spices etc. by eating them i got pimples, blackheads appear on my skin quickly. i have overcome this by drinking lots of water, changing my diet from fast food to vegetables and fruits. i will advice everyone suffering from it to have a good diet as soon as possible otherwise it will continue growing worse.
i myself have rosacea and it has been 6 years when i discovered it. i had pimple problems very severe, everyday i had 5 to 6 pimples on my face. i avoided this situation by drinking lots of water, moisturizing skin after every 1 hour and also i did not touch my face while scratching.i use a cloth.
I was diagnosed with rosacea when I was 23. I thought I was having a bad reaction to mold that was in my work place, but after it persisted i went to see a dermatologist and he told me it was rosacea and that it was pretty uncommon in someone my age, especially for a female. Since then I have been struggling for a few years on how to manage it. The dermatologist tried to put me on medication, but that just made me really sick to my stomach and I eventually had to just stop because it wasn't worth being ill for so long. Ive been in a breakout for quite some time now, and im just unsure as how to deal with it, mostly because I am finding that it is very embarrassing for me. I would just be willing to take advice on any products that help with the symptoms. The change of weather makes the burning twice as bad. Thanks for the products, I look forward to trying them.
I've been dealing with my skin changing for the worse from my early 20's to now (just turned 30) and have tried many different organic/all nautral face product lines to get it under control. I have sebhorric dermatitis and rosacea (most recent) and am watching my skin just get worse and worse to no avail. I eat all organic, very little meat, high veggie, fruit, and water intake as well as I believe what we put in our bodies strongly determines the skin/hair, but my skin just keeps getting worse.
Then, I stumbled on Made from Earth's website through the Rosacea website through comments I was reading and ordered the Green Tea Cleanser and the Rose Hip Serum. After the first day/night combo of using both products I already saw a difference and have now been using them for about 2 weeks and my skin looks amazing. The redness across my cheeks and the bumps all went away and the dry flakiness around my nose has disappeared as well. This stuff is AMAZING!!!!! My skin stays moisturized all day and I don't have any dryness creep in like before by mid-day (and this is dealing with NYC weather as well). Thank you so much to the creators of this product, I am a convert!!!!
I have rosacea quite badly on my nose. My inappropriate aunty likes to laugh at me and call me an alcoholic (given the similar symptoms).
It's really not that funny. I tend to pile on the make-up around her so she doesnt taunt me so much. I am a water-baby so it can be hard in summer, but I have had to learn to grow a thick skin and ignore her.
Hopefully the Made from Earth products help!
When I was a teenager I had to take Accutane for acne, and since then I have always struggled with my skin. Around my thirties I developed rosacea. I am always on antibiotics, and also I use Finacea (Azelic acid) every day. I have my up and downs but taking antibiotics seems to be the only way to control my breakouts. My redness is not severe, but it hardly subsides the way I want. I only use mild facial cleansers of good quality, and I wear sunscreen every day also I avoid all the common triggers such as spice food and alcohol. Living in South Florida is certainly a challenge for me. Rosacea certainly takes a toll in my life. I manage the best way I can. I plan on trying the Made from Earth products such as the Green Tea cleanser and the Rosehips serum. I wish I could have a sample because so far not has really worked.
My mother has had rosacea flare up at different times and she combats it by drinking lots of water, eating well, avoiding triggers, and keeping her face moisturized.
My mother has it, and I would love to be able to help her out. Whether I win this or not, I will be letting her know about rosehips!
I've had rosacea since I hit puberty, and that wqs quite a while ago. It is getting better as I get older and my hormones stablize. I've had an on-going 'low grade' case for many years......
I've had rosacea, a VERY mild case, since my teens. Its like a bad sunburn and I use a LOT of moisturizers to help with the symptoms.
I have had rosacea for about thirty years (I am 59). People often say to me, "You must have been out in the sun," which is ironic, because I stay out of the sun as much as I can (I sunburn very easily) and wear sunscreen every day, all year long. I would like to find a product that helps the redness and bumpiness!
My mom has suffered rosacea off and on in her life. She has tried changing her diet and that has worked for a while. She swears that when she stopped eating refined sugar it cleared up, but that only lasted for a while.

I have never had pretty skin, suffering with acne starting at about age 12. My skin cleared up for a short while during my pre-menopause period, then I started having flaky skin. I thought I was over-treating with acne treatment products and cut way back on anything harsh, to no avail. I finally went to a dermatologist and was diagnosed with rosacea and comedic acne. He started me on antibiotics, which have helped tremendously, but the treatment for the acne still left me with flaky skin. After researching rosacea online, I found Made from Earth and tried the green tea cleanser and the hisbiscus serum and love, love, love them. No more flaky skin!!! For the first time in 10 years I can put on makeup without looking like I am peeling after a sunburn. I still have some broken capillaries, but the flakiness is gone and my breakouts are pretty much under control. If you haven't tried these products, do not delay -- order them today! I have tried prescription rosacea treatments that cost way more than these, with not nearly as good a result as I got with these products. I could tell a difference after only a couple of days of use, with major improvement in my skin after a week or two.
I tried Eucerin Q10 out of desperation since nothing else has helped with my rosacea. It moisturized pretty well, and my skin felt softer, but it did nothing for the redness. Good product if you need softer skin! But don't expect it to do anything for rosacea redness. I look forward to trying the Rosehip Serum for the redness.

Thank you!
Here is my recommendation - it worked for my dad:
Beta-carotene, which the body uses to make vitamin A, helps to strengthen capillaries and is healing for the skin. Take 25,000 international units twice daily. You cant go wrong with this healthy vitamin.
I'm wondering if anybody else here is on the failsafe diet or is avoiding amines, salicylates and glutamates. I've read a girl cured her rosacea following this diet for 6 months. Or has anybody experience with TCM?
I have had erythematotelangiectatic rosacea since I was about 10 and at the age of 12 developed papulopustular rosacea. My mother comes from a long line of rosacea bound women and for some reason the doctors could not connect the red bumps around my nose and mouth or constant blushing to rosacea. I was given topical acne treatments as well as hydrocortisone cream to help but it only made matters worse. When I moved to a bigger city for college I went to a new dermatologist who instantly diagnosed me with rosacea. I have been prescribed to Minocycline to help control the red bumps, but the blushing doesn't seem to ever subside. It has become a part of me and I think I would miss it if I didn't blush every day :) Minocycline has done wonders and I highly recommend it for anyone whose problem was as persistent as mine. I took it for 30 days the first time and went bump free for almost 4 years! They recently returned when I started a new job but I am now trying to combat it naturally. Made from Earth was recommended by a friend and I plan to pursue this path with great optimism.
I'm so sorry to hear about your nightmare JM! If you do have rosacea there are many options, antibiotics, azelaic acid topicals, sulphur etc etc.
There is not quick fix that I am aware of unfortunately. The things I have used with succes are jojoba oil, aloe vera and calming compresses with green tea also work for me.
I apologise for not being able to pull arabbit out of the hat for you!
I first suspected that I had acne rosacea when I was 16 or so. I know, it isn't typical to get it so young but pretty much every woman on my mom's side of the family has it so... it makes sense. :)
It never quite goes away - but when my skin is healthy, the Rosacea actually gives it a healthy glow.
I have had rosacea for many years now. Managing stress is the key to this condition. I work from home and mine is much improved from when I worked in a corporate environment and had much more stress. I really get upset with the fact that my face will flush during certain social times, like I am embarrassed, when in fact I am not. That is probably how it affects me the most. I use Metrogel, which seems to keep the blemishes away most of the time, and try to minimize my facial products. I would love to try more natural ways to treat my facial area. I have tried a few Made from Earth products and they are superior. The Rosehip serum sounds like a great product as well.
While I do not have any advice, I can share my rosacea nightmare. I bought "Proseacea Rosacea Treatment Gel" and now 2 days later my face is red, sensitive, itchy and has more bumps than ever! Awful for me. Bummer!
So I hope I can win this contest and try out some of this websites products!
I had rosacea when I was a teenager - really bad red bumps on my face, and some broken capilaries.
I found as I got older (less hormones and emotional problems!) and I started eating healthier, my face would not get so red and splotchy.
I would recommend eating healthier, and being less stressed. Use light moisturizers only - do not drown your skin in them.
It took about 1-2 years for my redness to clear up - and now I just maintain by eating healthy 0 and trying not to stress out to much!
