5 Moisturizing Tips

There are many things to consider in your approach to caring for your skin, and Made from Earth would like to provide our readers with some advice on how to use moisturizer to ensure it makes for the best effects and results for your face and body:

1. You can use multiple moisturizers

Having more than 5 moisturizers may not be necessary, but having one each for your face, eyes and body is fine. Some people have also found it beneficial to have a moisturizer with a specific purpose, like the Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum for a firming effect. Alternating between the Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming serum (for firming) and the Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer (for hydrating and plumping) is highly recommended.

2. Find the product that works best for your skin

All skin types are different, and everyone should keep trying products until they find ones that work great for their face and skin. Its never too late to try new products to see what works best for you.

3. Use special eye cream.

The eye area is fragile, and benefits from gentle, treatment-oriented ingredients (such as vitamin K and green tea), which are often not found in body lotions. What's more, many lotions made for the body are too heavy for the eye area.

4. Apply when damp.

Your skin will drink in moisturizer best if it's applied while your skin is still damp. That goes for face and body!

5. Avoid heavy fragrances on your face.

Fragrance ingredients can be highly allergenic, meaning they're likely to cause irritation. Best to skip fragranced face products, and save the scent for your body.

Thanks for the tips! Good thing, I came across this site. By the way,I wonder what product can I use for my dark circles around the eyes? This has been my problem ever since.

Wow, this is really helpful! Now, I learned more about moisturizing. I didn't know until now, that fragrant moisturizers can be highly allergenic. I'll now avoid using fragrant products on my face. Thanks for the tips!
